Is it illegal to dig up small trees, shrubs and plants from the side of a rural road in Ontario, Canada?
My mom did it in Sometimes when you want to add plants or shrubs in the gardens without buying anything. He wondered if this was illegal?
I do not know about Canada, but is illegal in the United States. Just call the local police and ask them. Say something like, "I would be like digging a small pine tree, I have seen more and more on the side road, is this legal? Probably just a small fine for everyone involved way unless a facility Highway Department planted.
