Can anyone help a gardening question?
This is for a friend who has inherited an old Volkswagen van and natural green fingers (if it refers to areas of the window). She wants to try to be a gardener for a living, with the truck and some basic tools, but she knows very little about the UK market. What does being self-employed gardener? Are there resources and organizations that can have a look? And what are the different types of gardener (eg gardener certainly large scale things, but not the central lawn flowers, etc, etc.) Is there a good book for beginners class or night school relevant British aid? Thank you very much!
A commendable, if something catches financially rewarding career. The best place to start is the website of the Royal Horticultural Society http://www.rhs.org.uk/learning/index.asp Best of luck.
