What vegetables or in a black walnut?
All I can plant my garden near a black walnut. Something in the tree prevents some makeup plants grow. Which are more successful than others. Please there is no sun, but the limit of the leaves of the tree is near the garden.
I had the same problem you did. Without it, I looked at the option of square foot gardening. "Built raised beds, with news of their own soil or the mixture of compost, separated from the land that grew walnut trees and ends with a fabulous garden. Everyone tells me not want to work, being so close to the walnuts (40 feet) and probably would not if it was not built for raised vegetable garden beds. You can buy the book "Square Foot Gardening" by Mel Bartholomew any library or bookstore, that will tell much about it. Hope this helps, it worked for me! Good luck!
